I am the African American woman in the photo on your site where Bush is
pointing his index finger. I think you should know that if that photo had
been taken one second later, it would have revealed that the Governor
poked
the man in the blue shirt right in the nipple, and said "This is what I'm
gonna do to Al Gore!"

Those of us around him sort of laughed nervously, but I thought it was
kind of weird.

Editor's note: WHOOPS! We were hoaxed. This never happened, according to the owner of the e-mail address:

Hi,

Georgy says your site isn't fair. Tell that to a Joe Sixpack, who's
been poluted, injured, maimed, or otherwise done in by a megabuck
corporation, now immune to lawsuit thanks to Bush and other GOP
rascals pushing thru the so-called "tort reform" law.

Another example of fair play, TX Governor style: Yesterday we saw
Georgy rush out to smear President Clinton with the Chinese Spy issue.
Ironically, Georgy's dad, who was prez or vice when most of the
damage was done, might have spotted the Chinks in our Armor
if he hadn't been so busy keeping Georgy from being prosecuted
for inside trading, Neil, ditto for selling out Silverado, and Jeb for
too many felonies to recite here. If insider trading is so fair, why is

it a federal crime?

Play Fair Three: Georgy either sits on his hands or manuevers
behind the scenes to keep Texas bigtime poluters poluting; to kill
the hate-crimes bill, and to kill any kind of meaningful gun laws.
But soon as the Legislature got within the magic 14 days of the
end of session (when no new bills can be introduced), there's the
Gov grandstanding for all the bills he opposed or condemning all
the ones he pushed.

Methinks My Fair Lady doeth protest too much.

Hi There,
Just read all the good stuff about Shrub, Jr. on GWBUSH.com; he's my man!
He seems to be the type of individual who will carry on the fine
traditions established by William Jefferson Clinton. Mush-mouth policies,
decision-by-the-polls, invoking God, religion and family values at will,
feeling the pain of others, and probably finding another exotic part of the
world to demonize and to obliterate. But, in one way, he will be on a higher
level than Slick Willie: he won't accept blow jobs in the Oval Office.
Remember: the goal of politics is fun! I pledge a million bucks to the

your website is an answer to prayers. What could be more frightening
than the prospect of another Bush in the White House? It has even made such
revolting alternatives as 'Liddy' and McCain seem attractive. This family
is certainly major league in its sliminess, lack of principle, egotism, and
devotion to deception, etc. When Sr. was up for re-election, he said he
would do whatever it takes to win. Well, I hope you will do whatever it
takes to wipe Jr. off the political map, and what better way to accomplish
that than by exposing him and his family for what they are and what they
have done. How about more on insider trading, links to yakuza, CIA
shenanigans, Silverado, Iran-Contra, Brown Brothers Harriman and the Nazis,
to name just a few? (were GB Sr. and Noriega closet lovers????)

I must admit that your site has its humorous moments. As I read on,
however, I wondered whether I was reading comedy or a deliberate intent
to deceive the public. If I was watching, for example, Saturday Night
Live, and one of the cast members was poking fun at Ted Koppel's
"Nightline", I think I could tell the difference from Mr. Koppel's
actual broadcast at 11:30pm on weeknights, and SNL on Saturday. As
well as Koppel is played, I think most people could spot the actor.
Unfortunately, your site appears obvious in its intent to deceive.
There is nothing which allows me to differentiate fact from fiction.
In any other medium, that would be called defamation. I suppose a
prominent disclaimer would have kept me quiet. Absent such, the
disemination of falsehoods is not very funny afterall.

One Bush in the WhiteHouse was too much. He did enough damage....Why does
this family believe they have the ability to lead this nation??? NOT...

The following is an excerpt from a transcription of a talk given on March 28,
1993, by Robert
Parry, former AP and Newsweek journalist and now independent journalist.
Parry was one of the first reporters to break the story of Iran-Contra, and
one of the first to report on the drug angle in Iran-Contra.
Parry later pursued the strong evidence that Reagan and Bush made an all-out
effort to sabotage Jimmy Carter's efforts to get the prisoners released
before the November election.

Parry says,
-"I kept saying first of all George Bush knew it and we should have told the
people about it in 1988 when he was running for president - we knew what he
knew, we knew that his stories were absolutely the most implausible, idiotic,
embarrassing cover stories imaginable and they should not have been treated
with the kind of respect they were treated with and we should definitely have
pursued that. We also knew that there was a a cover-up going on - which I
kept insisting on even though Newsweek kept trying to retract it...

He explains the changes in journalism: ( Bush able to control the media????)

"What we have now, and its continuing into this new era, is the Reagan-Bush
press corp. It's the press corp that they helped create - that they created
partly by purging those, or encouraging the purging of those who were not
going along..."

Robert Cohen has been trying to get the over 250 million clueless

Millions of victims going uninformed about daily health problems that
could be reversed and even cured by the elimination of a couple of bad

100's of billions of dollars at risk in the media (ads), medical system,

What gets the headlines? Bad politics (as usual these days), deep

Across the nation people are thinking that George Bush being the governor of
the State of Texas has given him the experience that he would need to be the
President of the United States. Other times, they just say that he "looks
like a winner."
I think a good section to add to your website would be an overview of the
true power (or lack thereof) that the governor of Texas has. Like many of
the Deep South states, the Texas government was designed by a bunch of
ex-confederate soldiers who wanted to make sure the government had no power
over them and could not be corrupted. As far as the corruption goes, well,
their plan backfired. The governorship of Texas is essentially a really
'safe' job-it's really hard to do something that makes you look unpopular.
The only time someone ever got impeached was in 1917 when Governor Jim
Ferguson had a bunch of enemies in congress (sounds a lot like the last two
U.S. impeachments, no?). If you would like, I could send you a list of the
limited powers that the Texas governor has (with sources if needed).
For example, the most powerful action the state governor can take is a
post-adjournment veto. The Texas congress cannot override this-but of
course, Bush would never dare to anger the lobby-led congress (and I do mean
lobby-lead; they WRITE most of the actually bills instead of just making
suggestions) by taking such a bold stand.

BALLOT BOX #13 has arrived in San Antonio. There is serious election
"fixing" going on in San Antonio elections and a lawsuit was filed on
May 14, 1999 by 5 defeated candidates. Lawsuit number 99CI06959.

During the recent May 1, 1999 City Municipal\Bond Election, the Metal
Ballot Boxes containing voted ballots were FIRST taken to the basement
of the courthouse and removed and placed in cardboard boxes before they
ever reached the Central Counting Station two blocks away.

The Texas Election Code requires that the sealed metal boxes be
delivered directly from the polls to the designated Central Counting
Station which was 203 W. Nueva...NOT the BASEMENT OF THE COURTHOUSE.

The Total Votes Cast in the election tell the true story of what went on
in the basement of the courthouse. The TOTAL VOTES CAST (pieces of
paper counted) in the election appear as different figures on several
of the city's\county official\ and unofficial election records:

1) Pollwatcher Total Votes Cast figures (provided at
10:01pm): 48729

2) Four hours later...pollwatchers are gone and 1,266 more ballots
are added into some of the races and the city's official canvass of
05/02/99
reflects a new LOWER Total Votes Cast column of: 48568

3) After their final canvass on May 4, 1999, the city officials begin to
sanitize records and a new LOWER Total Votes Cast column appears in
their 05/06/99 sanitized election record of: 48397

4) The county records show a computer printout with a total number of
voting records of: 49,593

Further, in the District One precinct 1002, which is on the same mayors
ballot, only 196 Total Votes Cast are listed on the 05/02/99 official
canvass...yet the mayor received 306 votes out of that precinct box.

Preserving the sanctity of elections is critical to the future of this
democracy. Many have fought to insure our democratic inheritance

it's a spoof then make it funny. If it's an attack on him and you are

done is imply "between the lines" ideas and stated his "limit freedom"

sister" way of doing it.

This reminds me of a comparison I read of a bank robber and a sneak

have to respect the fact that he's putting his butt on the line. On the
other hand, the sneak thief is a coward lurking in the darkness. Which

I like God-fearin' Bible Pumpers like George Bush Jr. He says he won't vote
against Gays having equal rights, but he won't vote for them, either. Sorta
like walking to the other side of the street when you see someone being
mugged. Can you imagine the Good Samaritan doing that?

I used to be a Republican until I discovered that when Republicans refer to
the GOP as "The Party of Lincoln" they are really referring to the
AUTOMOBILE.

It was also interesting to see how the Bush Family embraced the Arpege
perfume ad slogan "Promise her ANYTHING but give her ................." It
worked in the first election. But by 1992, it wore a bit thin.
Like many Gays and Lesbians, Bi and TG military people, who were pressed
into the Middle East War and Panama in 1989-91, we were told that our
orientation "didn't matter". Forget that Gay medics and corpsemen gave their
lives on the battlefields. That was when we were sent off to battle or to
do intelligence work in the war zones. But when the wars were over, we were
booted out of the Military. I can't TELL you how much I respect George's
integrity.

As to what George Jr., is doing in Texas these days. Why, it was only
recently that Dateline and Sixty Minutes did a show on the Texas Jail System
and the prosecutors' falsification of DNA and other evidence. Why complain
says George Jr? There are so many jails in Texas and they HAVE to be kept
full to be kept open. Doesn't matter that they are filled with railroaded
minorities and other innocent people who were convicted on the perjured
testimony of a so-called "expert" in the Coroner's Office. Some of these are
due to be executed. One woman had the effrontery to challenge her conviction
for murder and prove her innocence. But in Bush's Texas, being innocent
means you only get paroled, not cleared. And the PhD "forensic expert" the
Bush Administration hired, even though PROVEN to have committed perjury in
Texas trials and trials in other areas where he lost his job: Texas
officials of the Bush Administration won't prosecute HIM, and won't talk
about the case. I guess when the Bush Administration executes those
Hispanic (falsely convicted) felons there won't be anyone to talk about the
strange perspectives Governor Bush Jr., has on human rights issues. Why,
don't you know: it's a SIN to tell a lie ---but NOT if you are Lying for
Jesus and the GOP.

I have a distinct feeling that Bush Jr's running mate will be the current
GOP Ejerkashun Candidate Dan Quail. Birds of a feather, as they say. Don't
worry about the US Constitution. It was just written by a bunch of old
fogies. Forget about the Constitutional Separation of Church and State. We
NEED to have religious civil wars in America, just like the religious
extremists have them in Ireland, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Turkey and even the
possibility of nuclear war, as shown by the religionists in Pakistan and
India. Bush Jr. could appoint Pat Robertson as the first American Ayatolla
Kokameme. We could have Ollie North as the new Republican Drug Czar. (He has
all those Latin American connections)
We could have Bill Bennett as AIDS Czar, so this homophobe could continue
the GOP genocide programs which told us all that AIDS tests of the nation's
bloodbanks were "not needed" because only Gays get AIDS. Phyllis Schlafly
who denounced other's sons for being Gay (concealing her own son's
homosexuality) could be Bush Jr.'s Minister of Truth. And don't forget the
benefits of the Bush Agenda:
a crucifix in every bathroom, courtroom, shop, town square, and all other
religions (not being official) are banned by decree. Ah, I DO appreciate
Georgie Bush's concept of Freedom, don't YOU?

Dear Sirs or Madams,

Every so often something comes along to reinvigorate my beliefs about American Democracy(r) and your web site (http://gwbush.com) definitely succeeds in reminding me why I consistently "vote against" BOTH of the two evils. Your web site should stand as a reminder to all Americans that we all should do our civic duty and make 100% sure our votes are wasted (not just somewhere in the range of 33%-99% certainty) and vote against both of the fungible fakirs.

It makes me proud to see ordinary Americans like yourself dedicated to nothing less than furthering the right to waste one's vote according to one's conscience. I think we all look forward to the election outcomes that, despite the propaganda from the vast marketing machines, actually exposes the underpinning falacies of winner-takes-all elections. This is what made American the great nation that it is, electoral minority rule, whereby efforts at more choice via third-party candidates only reinforces the strength of the inbred duopoly, year after year, war after war, empire after empire.

Let us rejoice in knowing that change is possible - except of course any truely tangible attempts to reform the system - especially change that changes nothing, progress that is actually just empty motion, all of which, when taken in retrospect, are political pantomimes completely choreographed for our 'voting pleasure.'

Alas, if it were not for the power of the Internyet and the pleasures of subvertisement sites such as yours, we would be only a little bit more trapped than we are now, subsumed under the aegis of one of the two umbrellas of "bipartisan democracy."

I, for one, look forward to the upcoming election, so I may remain in a blissful state of uncivic ignorance, as I avoid watching tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb proceed to trade issues and insults in a farcical attempt to maintain some modicum of differentiation between themselves.

While I may ultimately (and willingly) consecrate their coercion with my (rigged) vote, I will allow others to indulge themselves in the fantasy of a functioning democracy as they consume - with bated breath - the fast-evolving late-breaking media side shows, artificial issues, vacuous platitudes and sound-byte thought-terminating cliches that drive our peculiar reenactment of the Roman empire. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, "It's a plutocracy, wrapped up inside a duopoly, disguised as a democracy."

Lastly, I want to express my insincerest regrets at your attempts to make light of the inane pantomime of the American 2-party winner-takes-all system. Thank you for your good work. May God bless you and all of yours. Void where prohibited by law. Apply daily until color improves. If some unforeseen side-effects occur, discontinue use.

Defectionately yours,
A. Mary O'Pithicus

I was just kidding about the people who couldn't tell this was a parody,
since then I have read some of the complaints about "lying, dishonesty,
etc". It is amazing to me the number of people that not only don't
recognize parody, but who obviously don't know what it is.

This is very sad...

Better education is desperately needed in this country.

Is this shit supposed to be funny? I'm not necessarily a Bush supporter,
but I find this sight offensive, crass, bad-spirited and hateful. If you
have issues with the shrub, why not present them in a more intelligent
manner, and lose the smart-ass attitude. After hitting this site, I
might actually look into supporting Bush. You have defeated your own
purpose.

Get a job.

Look, I appreciate satire as much as anyone--more than most, perhaps.
And I've no great love of politicians--including George Bush. But there
are two prime flaws I find with your site:
First, it isn't funny. There's a different between satire and
repudiation. If you positioned the site as an anti-Bush initiative--a
place to get factual, but unflattering information on the man and his
campaign, I would applaud you. There are many valid points expressed
here. But to pretend it's satirical is pushing the WAY-outer limits of
the term's definition.
Satirical humor can be an effective weapon. But first it must be humor.
And the second flaw (an important one) is your use of the "Presidential
Exploratory Committee" affiliation. I have to believe this was a
deliberate attempt to mislead viewers--to lure them into the site on
false pretenses. Again, this is a direct example of my first point--
Claiming to be a function of the "GW BUSH PRESIDENTIAL EXPLORATORY
COMMITTEE" satirizes nothing. It's simply misleading.

Don't let your disdain for the candidate override your sense of right,
wrong, or humor.

The way you go after the business dealings of Bush's grandfather is
classic! There has to be some information out there to disparage his
grandmother too. And how you really go after Bush's track record and
deal with the hard issues in unparalleled Democratic form makes this
site a winner!

If Littlebush is running with the campaign slogan "There ought to be

against either Bradley or Gore. Let us hope that he gets even better at
getting his message across once he leaves armadillo country and goes out
to meet the "human people". What an asshole!
